About the Work

a living practice rooted in internal arts

My Path

My training has unfolded over more than two decades of continuous practice within internal arts, movement traditions, and related healing disciplines.

A formative part of this journey has been shaped through long-term engagement with Wudang internal arts, alongside sustained study with experienced teachers and immersion in traditional methods.

What has guided my path most deeply is not accumulation of techniques, but consistency, refinement, and lived integration.

Early Sensitivity & Long Term Practice

My path has been shaped by an early sensitivity to subtle experience and a long-term dedication to internal cultivation. Over time, this sensitivity found structure through disciplined practice rather than belief or interpretation.

Through years of training, I learned how strength and softness, clarity and presence, are cultivated through repetition, attention, devotion and time.

Alongside traditional forms, my work has evolved to include creative movement and flow-based practices - not as a departure from tradition, but as a way of keeping internal principles alive and responsive within modern life.

Who this Work is for

This work is for those who feel at home in depth and subtlety, and who are drawn to practice as a long-term companion rather than a quick solution. It resonates with those who appreciate refinement, continuity, and the quiet power of repetition.

It is less aligned with approaches that promise instant change or ready-made answers. The practices shared here ask for attentiveness, patience, and an honest engagement with one’s own experience.

A Living Practice

Internal arts are not separate from life. They are shaped through relationship, work, creativity, and changing seasons.

Alongside structured training paths, I also share creative movement practices, seasonal explorations, and live gatherings that allow the work to remain alive, relational, and responsive.

This balance between structure and openness is essential to how I teach and how I live.

An Invitation

If this way of working resonates, you are welcome to explore the paths offered here, whether through a short introductory journey, a deeper training path, or live practice.

There is no perfect starting point.
Only the willingness to immerse yourself into the art of this practice honestly.

Testimonials

Let Others Inspire You.

"Due to bone cancer at the age of 16 my shoulder blade had to be removed. Therefore the movement ability of my arm was severely restricted. With increasing age this had more and more effects on the health of my spine and much more. I fell in love with Tai Chi since I joined the first seminar with Catharina. Through seminars and 1:1 sessions with Catharina, I learned how I can nourish and strengthen my arm in a gentle way through flowing movements. Catharina has a special gift, that she transmits through her way of Tai Chi from heart to heart.

Sonja Summereder

"Studying the Internal Arts with Catharina has been a joy. She provides a balance of discipline, structure and lightheartedness in her method of teaching. I always feel connected and at peace after her classes. I love how the practice supports my physical and spiritual growth."
